[Album Review]: Angra - Secret Garden (2015)

A year later after the DVD release Angels Cry: 20th Anniversary Tour and with the departure of the emblematic Edu Falaschi, the Brazilian band Angra had to reinvent itself and start a long tour to satisfy the wishes of the fans, with in this year 2015(except Japan) his latest work: Secret Garden!

The History behind the Album
"Can something that does not exist for the eyes, or that is not perceived by the senses, be considered void?". This is the great theme created by the band to give birth to her latest work: Secret Garden. The songs they sing the story of the character Morten Vrolik, that after the death of his beloved, need to put everything we believe as evidence, to thereby continue living. Philosophy, religion, self-knowledge, moral values are some of the topics covered by the excellent album's lyrics. Vrolik then atheist, need to find some meaning in life and question everything that had been giving him support. Will change your mind or follow their old dogmas?

First of all it is necessary to mention that this is the most direct album, more prog and darker the band's career. But is not that boring prog (forgive me fans of the style), but with a good prog taken, without leaving aside the heavy metal band characteristic. The songs are short (the longest are the "Newborn me" and "Upper Levels", with more than 6 minutes) and have, in most cases, less than five minutes. There has always Angra: strong, vigorous and inspired. And there is, of course, the choirs, the changes of nuances, but all of a faster and more accurately.

In the previous album, "Aqua"(2010), the songs of former vocalist Edu Falaschi had distinguished themselves. In this new album, in turn, the highlight is in charge of vocals and amazing melodies, that make it a way to elevate the band to another level. From a musical point of view, they used the style of speed metal or melodic metal start of his career and also progressive features found on Edu was to create technical and dramatic elements for the new album. Kiko Loureiro The guitar solos are overwhelming.

the vocals of Fabio and Rafael made the difference in this work.
The presence of an Italian and talented singer as Fabio Lione is fully effective and makes this album a high level of work too. Fabio, which is famous for its excellent vocal expression, joins the Angra at the same time it is also the lead singer of Rhapsody of Fire and printing passes in that Angra is really counting on your support.

This is definitely one more Masterpiece is added to the history of this epic band!!!!
