The post today brings one of the songs released on the ninth studio Album of the Virtuoso Guitarist Joe Satriani - ("Strange Beautiful Music" - 2002), entitled: "Mountain Song "
The Intro with palm-muted riffs is really impressive. The lead fits the rhythm well too. At times, the melody does sound like a true mountain song - it sorta gives u a feeling of climbing a Mountain. Progression speed of Satriani - in a certain part of the refraim - gives the song the very strong progressive power, together, of course, with the Bassist and the perfect Battery grooves. There are no lyrics, it's all instrumental, but once again, like every Satriani album, the guitar work speaks for itself.
If you want to enter the world of Rock Instrumental, this album is an amazing way to start. The sound of this album is simply beatiful. This has some of the best guitar work I've ever heard. Listening to this song made me think that heaven just graced my ears. Joe is Amazing !
