Conquering Dystopia is the debut album of self titled band formed by Jeff Loomis (gt), Keith Merrow (gt), Alex Webster (ba) and Alex Rudinger (dr), releasead in March of 2014.
The album, with 12 fully instrumental songs, may be defined as one - if not the best -, instrumental heavy metal album of 2014. The four members dispoint not you in any sense, but the point here are the guitars. Jeff Loomis, very known in the heavy music sphere for his fast solos, low tone riffs, and a particular way of playing, and Keith Merrow, known musician for his guitar works and popullar on Youtube, makes a duo - that in some senses reminds Marty Friedman and Jason Becker on Cacophony - that show us the best of shred and riff'ing guitar!
