[Album Review]: Ignazio Di Salvo - A Gift to the World (2014)

The void has been filled recently with the release of "A Gift To The World", debut album that has collected in a handful of instrumental pieces the first exploits of our compositional soloist. Composed and arranged entirely by Ignazio Di Salvo, guitarrist who has served on the collaboration of external interpreters for some tracks of bass, drums and keyboards.

Since the opening track is clear matrix that inspired the creation, not difficult to track down that path prog-rock, which to many other virtuosos of the instrument like to review and mix with any other type of musical influence manages to congenial. It must be said that in effect you are faced with a "virtuoso", Ignazio Di Salvo is well aware of its technical capabilities, which exploits with expertise and impeccable control, both in the songs more excited than in most emotionally connotations.

Perfect example of the ability of the young guitarist from Sicily is the song "A Night Of Change", a true gem of the lot, alternating with moments of pure equity melodic development in areas dedicated to show off purely technical.

The whole album sounds good, the sound is always clear and well balanced. The tracklist is difficult to extract the individual to hold on to them then humming when you come down the stairs, but the reality is that the intent of the album probably will not have these. Each track on the album is placed on a very good standard, the same construction harmonic-melodic compositions of the individual is worthy of praise, but it must be noted that "A Gift To The World" is undoubtedly a hard-oriented to a well-selected band of listeners.

This debut is, as expected, an album focused on guitar Di Salvo, a tool that is prince and governor of the entire swing. This certainly does not affect the success of a product that will surely be able to give a lot of satisfaction hearing to lovers of the genre, is not a disc from the first places on the Billboard charts, but dificilmente the architect had to have such ambitions at the time of writing.

"A Gift To The World" is an album of a guitarist for the guitarist, a disk capable of enhancing the most out-emotional communication instrument that is the protagonist, spacing between the walls of the best musical that takes an imprint foot from the wing of the historic guitar hero, only to be re-stirred and kneaded in new form and color.

A convincing debut to Ignazio Di Salvo, who sins only that naivete typical of each work before you want to summon such a clear call to follow future developments of a guitarist undoubtedly deserving of the attention of many, especially the fans of the instrument.
