[Album Review]: Randy Ellefson - Now Weaponized! (2013)

Randy Ellefson is a guitar virtuoso whose work consists of instrumental albums; his fifth such release is out now, entitled 'Now Weaponized!'. In 2013 release of this work, marks his fifth album on which he plays every instrument (lead and rhythm guitar, bass and drums) - all without a vocalist in sight.
Interestingly, not only does Ellefson play all guitars and the bass but the drums as well. Regarding the tracks, they all have pace, melody, and are superbly performed. A Very multi-layered sonic overload of melody and energy.

However, as with a lot of instrumental albums, it is hard to any track to truly stand out; in this case it is probably the sum of the parts which is its strength. This album also has very much a soundtrack vibe to it.
